My main artist inspiration was Rene Magritte, who influenced aspects of the composition such as the background and subject matter, and the surrealistic art style. Furthermore, the main theme within this piece was identity, where the focus of the work was to encompass the way that identity is impacted through various internal and external factors such as environment. In this piece, I aimed to explore the concept of the hidden self through movement, and the subject matter of portraiture.
