MELBOURNE HIGH SCHOOLYear 9 Industrial Design

This subject introduces students to the world of Industrial Design, which focuses on the design of almost every object we use today. Students learn how Industrial Designers identify design needs, work together with clients to create design briefs, and present solutions that appeal to their target market.

In Year 9 students are introduced to various manual and digital methods of presenting their ideas, including the 3D CAD package Autodesk Fusion 360. Below are a range of aircraft designs made from advanced materials and featuring futuristic propulsion systems.
